Urgent action is needed to prevent a new generation of young people becoming addicted to this lethal habit and your support will be vital in bringing this about. Ash Wales urges you to respond particularly to the section relating to protecting young people.

Smoking & Health

Smoking during pregnancy has been identified as a cause of cot death. The risk of cot death is approximately trebled in infants whose mothers smoke both during and after pregnancy. The more cigarettes smoked, the greater the risk.
