Own a piece of Welsh rugby history
AND help to prevent children smoking
You have the chance to win the game ball signed by members of the Welsh team from the Wales vs South Africa game in June 2008 and help to prevent young people in Wales from smoking.
Welsh International and Cardiff Blues rugby player Jamie Roberts has kindly donated the rugby ball signed by your favourite stars including Ryan Jones, James Hook, Shane Williams and Jamie Roberts. This is not a signed practice ball; it was actually used by Wales in the first test against South Africa in their June 2008 summer tour and comes with grass and mud stains! You may remember Welsh legend Shane Williams stepping the fastest player in the world Bryan Habana during that very game. The ball is also from the game in which Jamie scored his very first international try.

Although Wales went on to lose the game, the signed ball includes many signatures from the squad that won the Grand Slam in 2008.
Sound like a good cause? All proceeds of this auction will go towards the youth anti-tobacco programme Ffaith. This is a youth run campaign to help prevent young people in Wales from smoking.
Jamie Roberts says;
“It is great working with young people who are so passionate about stopping other young people smoking. 6000 people die a year from smoking in Wales and around two thirds of them start smoking as a child. Youth run projects can make a difference to people’s lives in Wales and I hope my small gesture will help towards that cause.”
The auction starts at midday on the 8th November to coincide with the Wales vs South Africa game at Millennium Stadium and runs during the Autumn Internationals finishing on the 29th November after the Australia vs Wales game.
Good luck!
