Dyma beth oedd gan bobl ifanc ym Mhenfro i’w ddweud…

And this is what young people in Pembroke had to say…

“Rwy’n credu bod mwg ail law yn niweidio’r bobl eraill o dy gwmpas cymaint â ti”
Maria

“Mae’n dda bod y llywodraeth wedi gwahardd smygu mewn tafarnau a chlybiau. Mae’r mwg yn mynd o gwmpas dy fwyd ac os nad wyt ti’n smygu rwyt ti’n dal i’w anadlu i mewn”
Dienw

“Dylet ti stopio smygu yn y ty a smygu yn yr ardd [er mwyn diogelwch dy deulu”
Dienw

“Gall mwg ail law ein niweidio ni a’r bobl o’n cwmpas”
Charlie

“…Gallwn ni farw [o fwg ail law] yn ogystal â’r smygwyr. Mae’n brifo ein hanifeiliaid anwes hefyd”
Dienw

“Gall effeithio arnaf i yn ogystal â’r smygwr ac mae’n ddiflas pan rwy’n cerdded ar draws y strydoedd [ac yn ei anadlu i mewn].”
Chelbie

“Leicio neu beidio [mae mwg ail law] yn effeithio ar bobl ac mae’n gallu lladd trwy danau.”
Chelbie

“Rwy’n meddwl ei bod hi’n eitha da [bod â chartref di-fwg] oherwydd gall plant fod lle mae’r mwg a’i gymryd i mewn.”
Cory

“Rwy’n meddwl bod hi’n well bod smygu mewn tafarnau wedi cael ei wahardd, gan fod rhai pobl efallai ddim yn smygu ac yn casáu ei oglau. Gall perchnogion tai wahardd smygu os ydyn nhw eisiau.”
Sammy-Jo

“Dylen nhw stopio smygu yn y ty a smygu yn yr ardd!”
Sammy-Jo

Fact:

A child starts smoking In the UK every 4 minutes. Every eight seconds, someone in the world dies due to tobacco. About 106,000 people in the UK die each year due to smoking. Smoking-related deaths are mainly due to cancers, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and heart disease.

Smoking & Health

A growing body of evidence suggests that smoking may cause male sexual impotence. Certain studies suggest that smokers are at least 50 per cent more likely to suffer from erectile dysfunction. It is estimated that in the UK, 120,000 men aged 30-50 years are impotent because of smoking. The effect is seen in men of all ages. One study of almost 4,500 men aged 31-49 years found that in smokers, the risk of impotence was 1.5 times that in non-smokers. Another study of men aged 40-70 years found that men who smoked were twice as likely as non-smokers to develop moderate or severe impotence.
